Will You Out Endure?
I used to race cars. I would make all of my passes in two portions of the race. In the beginning and near the end. In the beginning everyone starts close so it’s the easiest time to pass. I would fling passes into corners and go wheel to wheel regularly. But that’s normal.
At the end of the race I would make the big passes, the ones that mattered. With a handful of laps left I would makes passes for victories and podiums. It was because I was durable. By the end of the race I was still chomping at the bit, I was still ready to rip some heads off. When everyone else was settling in, bringing it home, I was making sure that I took from them whatever they intended to bring home.
Life is like these races. When it’s easy, everyone is making moves, making passes, taking chances, and living the dream. But that’s normal.
What about when it’s shit?
We are coming up on one of the longest economic expansions in the history of the world. That means that we are over due for a recession, or worse, even a depression. So who’s going to be making moves?
Are you? Will you endure?
Consistency will be key. Keep your head down and continue working hard. Others will give up, when money isn’t flowing the way it has been for the past 10 years, the fakes will disappear. They’ll go and get a job or decide that this isn’t for them. You will remain. You will endure.
