30'000 Organic Followers In 4 Months
I slept like shit last night. I’ve had a busy day, and I’ve been staring at a screen for far too long.
I had to negotiate with myself just to plop my ass on this chair and right to you today.
Whenever I struggle to find the energy to create, I remind myself that I’m building my binge bank.
You see my coffee company 416 Coffee Co. went from 18'000 followers on Instagram to 48'000+ in 4 months. (@416_Coffee if you think I’m full of shit)
How?
I’m so glad you asked.
We’ve been producing 7 reels per week for as long as I can remember. Most of them would do okay and fetch us a few followers. Some would do really well and get us a couple hundred followers.
I was content with this growth, it felt sustainable and I enjoyed making the videos. Plus, I knew that as I kept creating content I’d get a little better week to week, month-to-month.
Until one day we went viral… and then we went viral again … and again.
We found our stride and started knocking hits out of the park like no tomorrow. Views exploded. Followers exploded. Sales boomed.
Shortly after our 4th video exploded, I got a DM from someone asking a question about one of our videos. I happily replied and tried to find the video they were talking about. To my surprise, they were watching a video from 84 weeks ago…
I asked them about it.
“How did you find this?”
“Oh I just went on a binge of your reels and ended up back there”
And that is why you need to consistently produce content, because when you do finally break through you need a pile of content for your new fans to absolutely binge.
I know how easy it is to get discouraged when no one watches your video or likes your post. It sucks. It feels like you wasted your time. I’ve been there for a very long time in different endeavors, but, I promise that if you stay consistent good things will happen.
Look at content creation as an end in and of itself. Each time you create you are building your binge bank and you are also sharpening your skills.
More creation online. Less consumption.
